Insomnia in the Academy

So I get really tired of dreaming that I am teaching.  I already have to spend multiple hours in the classroom and in preparation for being in the classroom, so why should I also have to spend the wee hours of the morning dream-prepping for a class that does not exist or trying to figure out why I have no trousers on??

I am taking a commiserative poll.  What's your best/worst teaching dream?

  1. I used to have a lot more stress dreams about teaching teaching more..nowadays it pops up on occasion, usually to interrupt a more pleasant dream--as in, I'm having fun, but then I remember that I've forgotten to teach, and it's class time...but the feeling is more like "Whoops! Better figure something out" as opposed to feeling completely unprepared and freaked out.
    That's healthier, right?

  2. I dreamed that I was on an outdoor stage teaching my big lecture class. All of a sudden, it started to pour rain on the students! They started yelling at me and stomped away in a huff. I was left standing there all alone. . . but I didnt seem to get wet. Is that passive aggresive or what?

  3. I like the outdoor stage part (and the soaked students); it's like modern theater!
